OUR SPACES

WHERE IT LIVES

Two spaces. One in a Hackney basement. One in a Hackney Wick factory. Both at the root of what we make.

BEHIND THIS WALL, HACKNEY

The bar where Sonic Tonics was born.

Behind This Wall has been running since 2016 — a basement bar hidden beneath the Narrow Way in Hackney Central. Built on a simple obsession with craft, quality and the kind of night that stays with you.

No artificial additives. No menu. No compromise on the small details that make a night great.

Guests choose their own adventure. We make, or find, their favourite drink. The same philosophy that built the bar is now in every bottle.

THE FACTORY

Sonic Tonics is made here.

Our 2,500 sq ft production space sits in the heart of Hackney Wick — the same pocket of East London that has shaped decades of makers, artists and entrepreneurs.

The factory was built in 2025, largely by hand, by our own team. Same DIY spirit as the bar. Same obsession with getting the details right. With support from 2x2 Architects and a tap room designed by Kitty McKibbin, the space is part production, part community.

At the front sits Allez Allez Café — our threshold between the factory floor and the street. Coffee, matcha, sandwiches, and Sonic Tonics straight from the source.

Supper clubs, tastings and events hosted by arrangement.
